- Death Star or Mount Doom, it depends on the day.
What can I do??? Btw I am typing this on another computer.
Spilling beer on it probably voids the warranty
Right I managed to find a youtube clip on how to remove the keys. Pretty simple, i have just used water to clean it but its still stinks? Would a little bit of dish washing fluid help any??
Yeah mix a little with water and give it a try. What are the actually problems with the keyboard other than sticky smelly keys?Is it not responding with any key strikes?
Stick it in the dish washer - thats what I did... and didnt work![]()
Seriously - I took it apart and rinsed everything in warm water and left it to dry - mine has a triple sheet of thin plastic and had to clean between each sheet too, dry COMPLETELY in between the sheets too.
If it's damp it wont work properly
Hey Presto working again
Ladies and gentlemen. Can I just say time is a healer. For anyone who goes through this trauma f what I went through, all you have to do is leave your keyboard in the back bedroom and just before you throw it out! Plug it back in just to make sure it aint working. Hopefully, yours will do the same as mine! WORK WONDERS AGAIN!!! Well, that was after I re cleaned the keys for a second time as they were still sticky. Especially the space bar. Its a good day!
Glad it works.
More importantly, did you replace the lost bevvy?
