the "present that was out of stock for christmas" thread

Hi guys, so the last few months I've been eyeing up a Samsung 46' C7000 for my Christmas present and finally I just got paid, checking the site I was to get it from earlier said it was in stock, but I literally just got paid and refreshed the page to see that it is now out of stock

I'm gutted because typical stores will take at least 1-2 weeks to get new stock in. this means it will be smack bang in the middle of the Christmas period with postal backlogs galore

anyone ran into this issue and with what present?

What is it with everyone buying expensive presents for themselves at Christmas, is it just me who finds this odd. If you wont something why wait till Christmas :confused:

Had trouble finding a cider apple tree, found it in the end for 50% more than the out of stock places, but hay ho, life goes on.

I ordered F1 2010 on the PS3 for my dad about 3 weeks ago from one of the online retailers for £29. Still out of stock and it seems to be similar in a lot of places. Either out of stock or full price for the game.

Just ordered a second hand on one of those auction site thingies instead. As long as the disk plays that's all that matters.

Fanatec Porsche wheel and clubsport pedals. They have been delayed since October but a few people got their pre orders this week, everybody else getting theirs in January.

Already people are selling theirs on Ebay for an extra £200 for the wheel and another £200 for the pedals so making a nice £400 profit for Christmas

Didn't work though did it. It first got changed to 30th November delivery, then the 12th December and as of yesterday it's now early January.

I think they had a few problems getting them to work properly according to the forums.

Still they will be great when they land eventually and worth every penny of the £579.
