480 and 9500

Hey,

I've got an old 9500 GT collecting dust here.

Was thinking of adding this in to my current system, which has a 480, as a physX only card.

Does this sound like a good idea? has any every attempted this already?

9500GT is probably too slow to help with PhysX in the few games that can benefit from an additional dedicated PhysX card.

Yeah, lots of people have used 9600s but i have not heard specifically people using 9500s.

Anyone say for sure?

could bench it with the game you are playing and just turn it off and on and see.

never done it myself but just to confirm the above, many people report anything less than an 8800/9800 not being worth it

On a different forum I post on, lots of people were using 9600s as a PhysX card and getting a boost from it - but it will need a good benching to see for sure.
