I can't get Windows 7 to work, when i copied the ISO to DVD i get this error

"The application or DLL \Sources\SPWIZENG.DLL is not a valid Windows image"

Corrupt ISO or whatever, i'm fed up of redownloading and wasting DVDs.

So yeah, is XP alright to run on a new i5 760/GX 460 build or will have a compatibility issues and stuff?

I have a Windows 7 licence that can be used from my Dads PC, up to three people in the house or something. I burned the ISO and can't get it to work and i'm fed of trying.

After forking out a crap load of money on my build when i thought Windows 7 was all ready to use on it, i haven't got £70 or whatever it is to spend on a retail version.

So it's a genuine ISO?!!!

As far as i'm aware, yes. In the packard bell guide that came with it says the licencing is allowed for use of up to 3 people in the same house.

The Packard Bell W7 image could be a restore disk or a custom W7 disk which is why your having issues.

IIRC I didn't think Packard Bell would to a family license. :S.

Maybe. I guess there could be some sort of restore disk to look for.

you lot are so presumptious, MS do give out ISO's when I bought student copy of it for download it came as an iso download.

It's a fair presumption because it won't burn.

Hardly, if you google my error you'll see it's mostly people asking why it's not working after they've downloaded straight from Microsoft and some have redownloaded 5 or 6 times before getting it to work due to corrupt ISOs.

what beacuse there aren't other possibilities that could lead up to things going wrong,

wow and I thought this was a country where you're innocent until proven guilty

and not guilty until proven innocent
