x-fire 6950 & psu

hi I need a little help would a 700watt psu be sufficient to run xfire 6950's?

my set up has 2 500gig hdd one 64g ssd DVD drive. i7 and there are 9 fans in total

Dont forget your PSU only has Only 2 PCIE power connectors meaning you will have to buy some extra cables to use cards ie:

Because its a higher quality unit.

That will run your setup with 2 gpu's, but you would need to use molex to pci-e adapters.

what happens if you put too many vomonents into a pc for the psu to be able to power? would it just not work or would somthing pop?

Quality brand PSU should shut down safely, poor one will go probably go bang and take everything with it.
