What is the must have toy this year?

Probably more of a question for any mums and dads on the forum tonight.

I'm watching The 100 Greatest Toys with Jonathan Ross on C4+1. There are scenes of people damn near killing one another to get their hands on Tickle Me Elmo dolls and was wondering what this year's must have toy is. Anyone know? What toys are your kids hoping Father Christmas brings them this year?

I remember when my two daughters were young & everyone was queuing up for furbies. & a couple of years ago it was the Wii. I think this is where it ends these days. Consoles etc. My 12 yr old son has a ds/dslite/wii/pc. This year he wants a laptop. (I'm sure we got him a tickle me elmo when his was a nipper?)

I guess the must have toy/item depends on the age range. (tho I'm surprised there isn't a fisher-price "ds" around)

Probably a tablet PC. Sure, Apple have revitalised the market, but it's nothing new. My old computer company was selling Paceblades from 2003 onwards. Therefore, I'd say Apple iPad (based on iOS) or Samsung Galaxy Tab (based on Android) but there are loads out there. It isn't all Apple :-D

I know it looks ridiculous but he never wants much else so we're always left with what else to buy. It's not like he has a ****load on top. Still a lump of coal sounds good. (laptop alongside my psp..rubs hands) Tnx guys. (thumbs up).
