Crysis 2 nanosuit Trailer

I am hopefull this will be a really great game. The trailers I have seen so far however make the gameplay seem a little too run and gun / spray and pray compared to the originals.

I hope they will have the sence to differentiate the gameplay between the console and PC versions.
 
As far as I see it, Crytek blame the PC community for pirating the pants off of Crysis. Ergo, this will be a console game, probably quite a good one as the Cryengine tech is fantastic.

Funny thing is I liked FarCry the whole way through. Just goes to show the importance of delivery. Halo is another, in theory I shouldn't like it much at all. Turns out I find it atmospheric and really did quite enjoy both the first and second game.

The video looked absolutely amazing, I mean just some stunning moments there.

I think when it comes out it may be time to retire the 4870x2 for a newer model.

Can't wait for this game, that trailer was immense.
 
guys thats just the showing off trailer rather than actual in-game footage. If you remember, Crysis had a similarly jaw-dropping trailer too as the intro. I'm still definitely going to buy and play it though, I loved the first game :D

I thought that about FarCry. Much prefer fighting humans. Such a good game until the aliens come into it!

i was exactly the same i enjoyed it until the aliens arrived and then i just couldnt be bothred, i did enjoy crysis warhead though but probably because i bought it after getting a new gfx card
 
Am I in heaven? Being able to jump like a monkey on steroids? Spartan kicking objects into aliens? raping aliens from behind? and having the predator heat visual?
 
The two things that will really impact on how much I enjoy this game is firstly how well the urban environment is used: how open is it, can I easy adapt and change tactics etc- I really want to see how Crytek innovate the arguably stale area of the urban based FPS. It has a lot to live up to in terms of the jungles of Crysis and Crysis WH.
Secondly, the enemies and AI. I understand that players will fight a variety of human and alien enemies once more. I have to say fighting the aliens in Crysis was a okay experience at points (e.g. the escape from the island in jeeps), but it lacked severly compared to fighting the Korean soldiers. Crytek seem to have taken this on board, and hopefully will deliver a much more refined set of alien forces to fight. Not massively keen on some of the designs but they aren't awful. Oh, make the game harder- the human AI does need to be more aggresive.
 
This looks awesome! Can't wait for this, hopefully my system is up to handling this. Got my limited edition Crysis 2 on pre-order now...
 
Not even pre-ordering anymore the gameplay looks so horribly dated & graphically not that impressed either with anything I have seen so far :(

Will buy it after a few weeks when the price drops it just looks like they have made too many compromises to cater for the consoles with tiny little levels & the platform parts look very limited :eek:

Crytek messed up Warhead as that was an inferior version of Crysis with cutback graphics options which you had to re-enable in the console to get a decent draw distance & their CEO is not to be trusted as he has been caught out blatantly lying about Crysis & Warhead so I am not expecting much on this game based on their track record & how this is not really a PC game anymore just a Crysis for consoles with a PC release as well :rolleyes:
