What is the must have toy this year?

It's a sexy torch. :D

Do you think the missus would belt me if I asked for one this xmas?

fanny magnet?

Tnx. (that was a manly tnx with a deep voice) When you've been married for 21 years, anyway, I shoulda just googled fleshlight first instead of fanny magnet. (else I'd be going into the local car dealer on next purchase asking for one) :o

Working in a toy shop I can provide some insight :D

Last year was the go go hamsters (now renamed to zhu zhu hamsters), this year it is Lotso Bear (character from the new toy story film) and Paper Jamz are up there as well (paper guitars but are actually amazingly good fun)

Now that's a money making opportunity there! USB powered and controlled by your computer/website... ;)

I remember when action man (& little big man) used to be great as a kid & then it went all "barbie" until recently when the armed forces re-introduced action man as we remember. (I think it had something to do with the forces anyway).

How do these sell these days? along with Lego? airfix? is there still a strong market out there or has the ds etc taken over? Sometimes I think the younger generation miss out on the more creative stuff in favour of playing vid games.

Mate who works in retail management thinks its going to be dominated by apple products this year..
Maybe not in terms of total sales (Expense and the fact there simply isnt all -that- much stock) but their products are definitely what all the young'uns want this year.

I worked in Toys R Us last christmas and they had a stack of Airfix that looked like it had been in the warehouse for years, it really didn't sell, they didn't have any new stuff coming in either. There are a few Acction man style toys around that seem to be "official" MOD stuff, there's a tank, Harrier and a para and marine AFAIR.

Lego on the other hand sells bucketloads, literally, tons of the stuff, it even had its own section for delivered boxes in the warehouse (before it get's put away).

You could always pass those airfix models on to me :) I don't think many kids know what airfix is these days. Just us grown up kids. I had to explain airfix to my son today funnily enough.

Just got myself an iPad 3G and have to says it's much better than my fujitsu stylistic tablet ive owned before and asus tablet last year, does everything I need with out hassle.

Rampant Rabbit - buy one for your missus and you can spend as much time round the pub with your mates as you like over Xmas and New Year.

Personally I'd rather service her myself than go to the pub with a load of blokes....

Guess we're all different... ;)
