Just thought I ought to let you all know that Audi have announced the new A6. No idea when, just noticed it on the Audi website. Seems to have passed everyone by, presumably because the announcement of a new regular Audi is about as exciting as choosing wallpaper paste.

I wont bore you all with pictures, just imagine a bigger A4 with a silly popout satnav screen and you are there.

It will be available with some noisy diesel engines, a quick 3 litre diesel engine, and some 4 cylinder turbo petrol engines I think. They might do a V6 petrol that nobody buys as well.

There are two trim levels but nobody will bother with anything other than the S-Line with a 2.0 TDI engine and 20 inch rimz, so the rest of the range doesnt matter.

Anyone else excited?

Has the A7 been released in the UK yet?
That actually looks quite nice, albeit exactly the same as all the others, just with a fancy boot.

I tried to imagine just what the A4 looks like, so I could imagine it slightly bigger, only without Google Image Searching it, but I fell asleep.

I look forward to seeing everyone crapping themselves with excitement next time I'm at the VAG training centre.

They actually managed to make a big deal out of the Touran and Sharran being launched :o.

I think that was the A8. Or maybe another facelift of the old A6? I think it had about 34 facelifts, each one adding more bling.

Just read up on it, facelift was in 2008 and new model is due early next year.

Because I know how excited you all are, I decided not to tidy the study and instead rehost some Evo pictures of the new A6. I cant beleive this thing has been around in picture form for 19 days and nobody noticed!

Interior isnt bad but the nav screen is just comedy, it looks like it's been left there by mistake or something.

And the iPad in the last picture sums the whole car up :D

I remember seeing these the other week!
Totally forgot about it, although the interior is quite nice. Looks like they pinched it from the CLS.

What iPad? Or are you referring again to the nav screen?

It is boring as hell, and I wouldn't realise it was a new one unless you had said, but I absolutely adore the B&W sound system with the pop up tweeters! I was in a V10 R8 the other day and they were the most exciting thing for me tbh!

I know cars manufactures do try to have a common design accord the range but that really is ridiculous. It really does look like a slightly larger A4. No attempt at styling, they probably just hit the "Scale up 10%" button on the design programme with the A4 loaded and said to themselves 'That'll do'.

And yet I reckon it'll still sell like hot cakes...
