What's The Most You've Ever Lost In Online Poker?

I don't see a big pot loss or a potential payout from tourney as a loss in the same sense as money that you have actually put down yourself.

So saying you have lost a $1k pot means nothing tbh :P

Okay so I lost my $500 entrance fee then ;) I know what you mean but when they turned the cards over and I came one place short of the prizes, all I could think of was that I had lost $15,000.

Don't play poker myself but can appreciate it as a game of skill etc.

The best one I heard (probably because he's famous) was from Matt Damon. He had 4 kings and lost to a guy who happened to get 4 aces.

Edit - appears this was a movie..:o

Lost over £500 on Sat paying BJ.

Have lost more in the past.

Blackjack has nothing in common with poker, except that they both are played with a deck of cards.

I'm tired of people confusing poker with gambling. If you don't know how to play, are unskilled, can't manage your bankroll, or overly emotional, then that's your fault. Don't confuse it with being unlucky.

I once lost K high str8 flush to an ace high str8 flush.:(

Only literally a few $. Used to play on one poker site about four years ago, think it was called absolute poker.

Most I won was about $20, I only used to play low value games like 60 cents or a little above. Managed to get quite far out of many hundreds of players quite regularly though, so not bad for a newbie.

About £100. I was a complete amateur (still am really) and was buzzing off winning a biggish tournament.

Pretty much put me off online poker in a big way in hindsight as I've never really play more than a few games here or there, ever since.

Slightly O/T as I've never played a lot of online poker as I much rather play around a table but I do have a vague recollection of stumbling out of a pub one night with 2 friends and being conned by the bright lights of a casino across the road. We left after about an hour and a half. We reckon we left behind us about £200 each. I think we got free drinks though so it wasn't all bad.

One thing I learned was being a fish in a casino at 5AM is certainly a lot less intimidating when you're hammered.

A mate and I lost £15 each playing slots machines on Skybet, using a TV. So I guess that counts as online gambling. My worst 'offline' gambling was losing £34 on an Austin Powers fruitie which was backing from the first £1. Same mate as the Skybet mate then told me that some fruit machines do false backing. Didn't know it at the time though.

I don't gamble in the traditional sense, but will happily play the lottery once or twice a month when I've had a bad week at work. Once spent £10 on the lottery website (scratch cards) but got bored quickly, wont it back and haven't done so since.

Ditto. :)

Though that's not strictly true, I've been to Vegas a few times, and it would be rude not to have a go, but I just went in with £10 to lose, lost it, and said to myself that I've done it! :)

You're doing it wrong - should have put another £10 on to try and win it back:p
