ATI 6970 size

About 1.3 inches longer, it just about fitted in my Antec 902.:p[/QUOTE

Aah good. I was wondering if it youlwd fit or not good to know it would!

Was it a pain or did it slot in nice and snuggly as if it was fate to have the 6970 in there? What are the temps like?

My 4890 is 38c idle at 50% fan (not audible) and 68c full load fan at 75% (audible but not rocketship)

Idle at 24% it ranges from 37-40c and gaming at 45-50% it ranges from 65-75c max depending on game also at 45% fanspeed it's audible but not hugely loud however at 60% or more it starts to get pretty damn loud.

My hardrive cage is removed, i just had to place it diagonally to get it underneath the metal panel holding the hardrive bays and then slot in like normal with the power connectors being on the side too it made it a lot easier than my previous card having them on the end was more annoying.

Ha ha ha ha ha. That is why i got a TJ07 :)

It says it has a 1x6+2 and 1x6 pci-e pins there so should be fine, just use the 6+2 as the 8 pin and going to upgrade to HAF-X myself in Jan or a Phantom which can handle 13.5 inch long cards.:)

Also the 570 is about 0.5 inches longer than a 5850 if i remember but i do know it's shorter than a 6970 so.

Thanks mate...Might go for the 570 then if it's shorter, just to be on the safe side...

Well i like my 6970 a lot but to be honest i kind of wished i went for a 570 due to it being quieter and you get more for your cash.(around same performance but you gain PhysX and Cuda too for less cash.)

Still though i think the 6970 will improve some in next 1-2 months.
