I cant believe work.....

When the snow started last week it took me 2 hours and a bit to walk the 7 miles home. The days after it I made an effort to get to the bus stop and if my boss could get his van off the drive would pick me up and drop me home.

One of the worst days he called me when I was at the bus stop and told me to not to go in and just go home.

Thankfully I got full pay for having 3 days off:)

My dad on the other hand works in a care home and pretty much had to go in to look after the old folks. Walked there and back (2 hours each way).

I've seen gange smokers happily make such a journey if they needed to score. But if it's their turn to visit the kitchen and make a brew they're usually less willing.

I walked 6 miles in 7'' of snow to work the other day and then back when my shift finished at 23:30, I didn't cry about it.

Exactly. It is funny watching someone trying to justify why they didn't turn in when a manager who lives in their road managed to get in fine, for example...

When I was about 17 and still living with my parents out in the sticks we had a few inches of snow, so I contacted work as the house was off the beaten track half way up quite a steep hill to let them know I wasn't coming in.

Anyway later in the day I had a knock on the door and to my surprise it was my boss, he had decided that I was talking crap and that he was going to turn up and get me/sack me as where he lived had no snow at all, only problem was that his plan failed slightly as his car was currently on its side in the ditch half a mile down the road, greatest day ever as I had to put up with him in my house for the rest of the day until someone came to get him.

I left work at 3 today with a lift from my boss with 2 others.

I m still not home, and not going to lol. Going to crash at someone's and might not make it in if my boss cant get out if his drive.

6 miles in 1 hr 25 mins - have you thought of entering for the Olympics?
Walking a tad over 4 mph in 7" of snow is awesome.

I google mapped it and it's actually 5 miles so sorry for my slight embellishment. I love all the sniping comments though lol go keyboard warriors who all complained of not being able to get to work!

Morons.
