If you like to play on full specs, I don't know what resolution you play at but also if your intending to play new games as they come out I would try push a little further...

The 460^ up there is a good card, will last, heres a good example of the difference between the geforce 460 and the radeon 5750 you were thinking...

The 460's are good overclockers too, can push them to 470 speeds. But if you really cant go above £100 I would try and pick up a 460 or 5850 second hand.

resolution is 1680 x 1050

Yeah the GTS 450 and HD 5750 will struggle a little with a lot of games at that resolution with high settings, which is basically 1080p, especially with the newer games yet to be released!

I would try and go for the 460, you can get royal mail 1st class postage for a few quit, would make the total around £120. That extra £20 over your budget will make a huge difference and make your card last a lot longer... you'll probably last the next year getting atleast 30fps out of most games with that.

First few cards I bought were second hand, can get a lot more power for your money, for your budget might be able to pick up a 460 or even 5850 second hand for your money, which will give you very good performance.

So if I were you I would try and stretch to the 460 above if I could or go for a 460 or 5850 second hand, they will both give you decent FPS in all games today and last a good while!

5770s can just about be had for ~£100 inc postage.

However, if you can (even if it means say 2 more weeks), get the GTX460 768MB - it's a fair amount faster than the 5770, and will handle the 1680x1050 far better.

Yes, save the money or you'll be throwing it away by purchasing the GTS 450 or HD 5770.

For only a little more you'll be destroying these cards so please consider this before purchasing anything. Go and read reviews on the 460 and save that extra money as it's worth it.
