Just had a quick look through my bank statement and found this transaction i dont recognise..here's how it looks on my statement

15 Dec 2010:
Debit Card Service Charge £1.50
13 Dec 2.99 USD @ 1.533
Google *Scannerrad google.com/ch US £1.95
Heres the thing....
I've been listening to a scanner website for the past couple of weeks(RadioReference.com) and now this mysterious charge appears on my statement.....Oh did i mention i dont even have my card registered to my google account? I went to recent transactions and it showed none.

Now i know it's not a lot of cash but it's the principle here....Im totally confused.

Tried googling but found only one hit where someone had a similar experience, so im stumped.

I've reported it to google and my bank so if anyone has any other explanation i would love to know.

Thanks

Hmmm here's the thing.....

I was sitting with my brother in law the other night (who has an Android phone) and we were listening to the scanner website through his phone...he sorta put me onto it.

But how the hell did the charge end up on my account?

This requires more investigation.

Thanks for the heads up chaps.

I think your lack of memory as to how exactly things may have occured while you were sitting listening to a police scanner from a mobile phone may have something to do with a certain substance.

Not that your username has anything to do with that assumption.

Ha!

So because my username states my recreational preference, means im sitting around 24/7 baked and cant remember what happened just over a week ago?

Although i see where you guys are coming from do you seriously think would start a thread about this if i could just choc it up to being a .... u know;).

Thanks .

Just ribbin' ya. :p:D

You've given him your card number to buy something before, the site used google checkout, your number is now associated with his google account.

When he bought the scanner app it paid for it using the card on his google account - yours.

Feeling it :D

He's never had my card for anything, Besides he's not a good enough fighter to be able to pry it from clutching hands of his sister :D

My wife and i both have Iphones so it's very odd, just hoping that he's not just thought..ahh theres his card ...think i'll just let him pay for this one :D

Will be sure to ask him when he gets back from the hospital ;)
