Yup, for the GTR event I dropped the top speed to 180 but I should have had it slightly higher as I was hitting the limited in the tow of other cars

For tue 500 it was all the way down at 87mph :eek:

And the classic muscle it was way up to 160 odd :)

Yep that is the only downside... You're pretty much screwed on the long straight!
 
Love this new update... seasonal events are awesome, racked up huge amounts of money from them.

Can't get 1st in the CRZ or Fiat 500 races though. I've changed the gearboxes, clutch, flywheel, suspension, lightened but I still can't get 1st place. 2nd no trouble though. The car in first place just gets too far ahead after I've managed to get to 2nd place.

With the Fiat 500 race I came 2nd but found that you gain the most on the corners and if you must overtake aggressive then do it.

The CRZ race I came 1st straight away, i overtook #1 halfway on the last lap, I gained the most in the long righthand corner and the right left combination at speed, ignore the red braking line if you have that on as it can be taken almost full throttle.
 
Found the first 4 seasonal races fairly straight forwards, but im struggling with the Skyline/GTR race, ive upgraded 2 differant cars to max out the requirements, an R34 and a GTR 07 and im nowhere near... Any tips on exactly which car and what upgrades/settings i should be using.
 
IIRC i was getting mid 1:20s with my best lap being 1:19.5... as others have said aggressive overtaking works very well, carrying too much speed into a corner and bouncing around the corner using the side of the car in front, also, i held 3rd gear @~40mph through the tight hairpins, rather than dropping to 2nd.

1.19.8 was my best, hovering around 1.20/1.21 except for the first lap, which was usually above 1.22

I haven't done it either
 
wow 70,000 experience and 700000 credits for coming 2nd in the GTR event, still 8 seconds behind the ford GT tho seems almost impossible to catch it.

Thats using a GTR 09 V-Spec with all mods i can fit and max weight reduction

I managed to do this third try, i changed the gear ratio abit(lower max speed). You need to average 1.26-1.28 laps i found.

theory is incorrect lol I just did 4 consecutive 1.27.1's and i was still 8 seconds behind the ford GT :confused:

Thats after shortening the gear ratios after my first attempt earlier

The final right left right before the big long right hander on the GTR race is an easy way to make up time, you hardly need to brake for it, that's where I got the GT on the last lap. Drafting is your friend. I also had the torque split 10 front 90 rear, but thats just personal preference

As for the 500 race make sure you hit every apex exactly and try to loose as little time as possible overtaking other cars
 
If anyone can send me a fast pick up truck for that one even that would be appreciated or even a old jap car thats 1979 or earlier for that first event, can't find one lol. Need the pick up truck cause im running low on funds I've bought that many pointless cars for events.

Also if anyone knows whats the top bhp for the nissan gtrs or the r34 skyline? out of interest.Cheers.
 
You can get a free truck for doing the international a licence (bronze only), and for general money the special events are rather good,

Also if you get gold on international b iirc you get the S800 race car for the jap classic event :p

Im pretty awful at the licences lol, hence why I avoid them, done the 1st one mostly bronze lol, so will give the next one a shot since it's only bronze needed. And fat chance me getting gold on int b haha.

If anyone can help me out, SK-XO is my psn cheers.

Any joy with TC off? I think I was doing 1.20s as well. Caught the leader up on the one before last corner - the tight right hander.
