As above, out the box the 460 talon will be better, with a good OC the 5850 will go ahead, as you point out its cheaper atm so is prob better deal

Ive decided that building my own pc may be too hard for me as ive had no previous experience of building a pc and don't want to break it

Would this be good enough to run sc2 in ultra high?

Get this instead and stick a GTX 460 in as an upgrade. You only need two cores for SC2, but I'm assuming you'll want to play other games too.

The X4 is a cracking processor for the money- performance approaching the i5 for half the cost. You won't struggle with it.

The Athlon quads do really seem like brilliant value at half the price of an i5. Easy to overclock too I hear.

i was going for the one i picked though because it has a hdmi port. Will the monitor you found still show in hd even though it doesnt have a hdmi port?
