Best monitor for gaming?

With that budget, you really need to be looking at the 27" iiayma.

It's an awesome screen for gaming.

Close thread.

what an ignorant thing to say. post count or not; seem to see a lot of forumers using this as an argument for why their opinion is more valid. anyone's entitled to ask for advice. i wonder what you would think if someone had just given you their two cence on a thread of yours, expecting it to be taken as mute so they should therefore close their thread straight away.

I have reviewed many gaming monitors on the website and a lot of the 'top 10' monitors for 2010 are very suitable for gaming. Infact they are all intended for such uses. You may find the other articles and the reviews on the website particularly helpful as you need to grasp what makes a good gaming monitor. Very rarely will a monitor be called a 'gaming' monitor as it's a much too restrictive term and many attributes contribute towards a monitors suitability in this role.

My "close thread" comment is something we often see, please don't take it as an insult, it's just forum banter :)

sry ive been an ass to every 1 to day including my mom lol we all have a day when every thing is just sh!t

also what monitor do you recommend PCM2 of the top 10 on your website for gaming?

samsung bx2450...i bought one last week, absolutely perfect for you. Full HD, 24", led backlit, fast response time. You won't get a better monitor for the money, build quality and looks are awesome and the picture really is fanatastic on it. I've got my xbox 360 connected up to it as well as my pc, really is perfect. Is only £195 as well at a well known retailer on the web

i have to second this. i am actually setting mine up now, and can't help but be impressed by everything about this monitor so far. @nosluom - out of interest when you were installing did you select digial bx2450/analog bx2450 install? this part is confusing me..

You'll never guess the monitor that was number one in the top 10 list on our website! If the OP didn't take the hint I think that's a pretty strong recommendation. ;)

do you mean driver wise with the cd mate? I didn't install the cd, i just let windows 7 put the driver on for me. Awesome display!

yea that's right. just got windows 7 installed, and now putting on the drivers from the cd. is it easier just to let windows 7 download them automatically from the net? also, have you made many changes/adjustments?

lol wot a noob monitor it does not have dvi connection and it comes with a vga cable.... also am using gtx 460 so mini hdmi and i dont want to use a adapter

'wot a noob monitor'....think you're on the wrong forum mate lol, the under 15's counterstrike forum is elsewhere. If you're not listening to anyone's advice i suggest you don't post questions. It's top of PCM2's list for a reason obviously

yeah it's easier to let windows 7 put the driver on mate. I've made changes to the picture settings yeah, i'll post my exact settings when i get home. I messed around for quite a while getting them spot on

I think you'll find it comes with an DVI to HDMI cable as well. Well the UK model does. Seriously though if you judge a modern monitor based on something that's actually fairly trivial you should probably save your pocket money for something else.

cheers man. would be really interesting to compare notes actually, especially as we have very similar spec'd pc's! again sorry for all the questions, but did you use the touch buttons to adjust display or the magictune software? the touch buttons do seem a little fiddly as i had heard. don't want to hijack this guys thread anymore and his discussion of 'noob' monitors

so if you fancy posting them in a new thread or just pm'ing me that would be much appreciated :)

i'm not getting into an argument with ya mate. A monitor doesn't suck because it has hdmi ports...hdmi is the latest interface afterall. A hdmi cable is £2 and the a hdmi/dvi cable isn't much more. If you want the best monitor for the price this is it, the type of cable it requires means nothing unless you have a 10 year old graphics card

to pcm2 it says it comes with vga cable only and if it does come with dvi to hdmi then its no good for me i have a mini hdmi cus am using gtx 460

and if i use an adapter there might come random blinking in gaming had that problem with a lot of monitors when using an adapter
