Having a rwd auto is never a good thing in the snow, but you really should know that your car is rear-wheel-drive, unlike this woman.

After trying to clear the road for her front wheels, she sticks the car in drive and gets out to push it, the car gathers momentum and, as expected, there's a crash. And she's embarrassed.

And it was filmed, obviously

Part of me thinks she should receive a Darwin award, the other thinks the person who filmed it should have gone out and helped her. Fail on both sides, but thanks for uploading it.

You should win a Darwin award for dis-services to reposts... Wait, you're not dead, go and kill yourself then you can have the award ;)

BMW drivers, all the same :-) They should all receive a Darwin award for being made to believe they have purchased the 'ultimate driving machine.' Which of course some of the M drivers have; shame they don't offer an ultimate driver to tame the ultimate driving machine!

to be fair though, having the auto creep is quite useful in the snow. But you don't get out and push from the rear, you push from the drivers door frame and jump back in when you get it moving....

Can you????

Yes, i did this a few times in the carpark in heavy snow, just came out and watched the rear wheels spin in 1st, quite safe as the entire carpark was empty and snowed up, so if by some chance it got traction it'd just get bogged down again.

Yes, but only on snow or other low traction surface.
I presume you mean spin the wheels on the spot?

Because you can get a manual car moving without the throttle easily.
This is actually the best way to get going on snow if you've got no grip. Works especially well with diesels (or übertorx petrols)
