I need to purchase a HDMI cable. Does the higher the price of them mean that the quality will be noticably better?

Thanks :)

No. DVI = HDMI in terms of output quality. The only difference will be the way your display interprets HDMI (some will need adjusting to PC/RGB colour schemes or need overscan manually turned off).

Unless you want a really really long HDMI cable there will be absolutely 0 difference between a cheap £5 one and an expensive one. A digital signal won't suffer like an analogue one would.

Well I use the cheapest 15M one that ocuk offer http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-057-OK&groupid=701&catid=48&subcat=1753 and everything seems to work just fine. For the sake of £10 I thought it was worth a try.

These things either work or they dont. They only send digital data so an expensive lead will not provide a better image or sound, although I suppose it might enable the signal to travel a little bit further if they use better purer materials.

If you browse some of the popular online retailers you can get one for £1.99 and it's perfect. :) Email in trust if you can't find it.
