I just wondered what your piles of shames look like for this year?
Games you've either bought and not played or finished or games you really wanted to get to but didn't get chance...

This year for me has been the worst yet. There are so many games I really wanted to get to but didn't get chance and it's making the early part of next year already look full. This is part in effect from me getting my PS3 in February and playing a lot of its back calatalogue but also as I seem to have less time to play these days...

Anyway.. my pile of shame:

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood: Not played
Fable III: Given to my wife to give it me back for Christmas.
Red Dead: Redemption: Didn't finish.
Fallout: NV: Just bought and I've played 5 minutes
Enslaved: Not played
COD: Black Ops: Not played
Battlefield: BC2: Not played
Dead Rising 2, Crackdown 2, both passed up
Hell I even like the look of NFS: HP but just haven't the time...

I've vowed I'll buy and play all those games at some point (I'm dreaming I think) but what games did you want to play but didn't get to?

Wow some addiction to buying :)

Brotherhood and Fable (wish I had an xbox for this) - forget the rest ;)

Biggest let down of the year for me must have been FFXIII not to say I didnt enjoy it but it was just a let down.

Heh, I haven't bought any of them yet as I don't tend to buy games until I'm ready to play but it's games I really really wanted to play day 1 but just didn't have the time for...

Red Dead Redemption - I didn't really even finish the tutorial bit of the game, I do plan to grab this at some point.

Fallout: NV - played 5 minutes and haven't touched it since, kinda wish I hadn't paid full price on release day for it!

AC: Brotherhood is on my rental list and should be the next game I get, doubt I'll see it this side of Christmas though.

Fallout3 - played an hour, couldnt get into it
FF XIII - played half, looks beautiful, boring as hell (totally on rails)
COD BOPs - Mother-in-Law bought it for me as an Xmas present (well I bought it for her)
MOH - Will probably buy it in the new year, for the hell of it
Fallout3 NV - Bought it for £20 in G*** and traded it for COD BOPs (for a tenner) in G***S***

Kinectimals / Kinect Sports / Your Fitness Evolved - All in the loft with my Kinect, so that Santa can deliver them

Lips 80s - My wife is addicted to this game, only one in the series that I havent bought

Best Game - Battlefield Bad Company 2, I have had litterally hundreds of hours out of this game, it is probably my all time favourite

Mushii - XBL UnsaidMushii

Borderlands (technically a 2009 purchase, but a Christmas one so it could sneak in I suppose)
Dragon Age (see above)
AC: Brotherhood - though to be fair, I've been saving it for the Christmas hols!

This isn't bad for me, though I do also have Arkham Asylum from last year and Madworld still in its wrapping...

Yakuza 3 - Amazing but just too damn big for me. I've gotten well into it and i will finish it one day, just not a day that's coming soon.

Devil May Cry 3 - Bought because everyone says its the best in the series. Can't even get past the second battle, humiliating.

Xbox 360 - Lent to a mate months ago, haven't got around to getting it back yet

I left Assassin's Creed II so late that I'm currently playing through it now (awesome game) so I can start on III.

Call of Duty Black Ops - only played some multiplayer online

Final Fantasy XIII - played about 10 hours

Splinter Cell Conviction - played about 5 hours

Mass Effect 1 & 2 - 1 didn't grip me at all so I'm struggling with motivation.

for me

Mass Effect 2,
Crackdown,
Fable 3,
Dead Rising 2,
Red Dead Redemption (Zombie thing),
Rock Band 3,
F1 2010

all just sat there waiting for me to have the time to play them. Nevermind sure the releases will die off till april now anyway.

for me

Demons Souls (Legendary game stopped around lvl 70 or 80 i think BUT you cant really complete this game so meh)

Red Dead Redemption

v good game but its great strength is also its great weakness = free roaming. I kind of just meander around in it so havent felt compelled to finish it.

F1 2010

uhh ace game :)

Alpha Protocol

great game

MGS4

sold it - regret it now got to boss fight with the octopus woman.

Havent mentioned games ive only just bought (Nier and Resonance of Fate)

The real Problem is each time i decide to play the PS3 i look at all the games i have................. then i look over at FIFA 11 :(

God of War Collection
God of War 3
Espgaluda 2 Black Label

Gonna finish off God of War Collection then God of War 3 after I've completed Batman Arkham Asylum which I recently started.

I bought Lego Indy 1 and Lego Batman a while ago and have hardly touched them - I got BFBC2 at the same time and have since put 40+ hours into that (just MP!!).

I've got FIFA11, I do play it but only really with mates so no real SP progression. The SP bores me to tears though and is heavily buggy/flawed so a real shame for me :(

I'm getting AC:B for Christmas so really looking forward to cracking that out :D

You think that's bad, you need to see some of the weird people in the PC forum. Some have over 200 games on Steam and have barely played a third of them. Very pointless.

As for my offering, I guess I'll have to go with Fifa11. I always get my hopes up each year for the Fifa games, but discover they're just as boring as the last, and I go and sell it after a season. No idea how anyone can continually play it all year until the next release, utterly boring.

Yeah Fifa 11 is ****e, so is PES, they need to start making football games worth playing.

Mine is probably Yakuza 3, I bought it on the back of a few people saying its one of the best exclusives, and then I read some reviews which rated it very highly, I bought it and have played about an hour and a half. I like that everything in it is in Japanese, but it gets so damn confusing when everyone has very similar names, I have no idea what's going on half the time, gave up playing it. :(

I hated it until the flashback ended (which lasted approximately 5 hours!). After that the storyline picks up, the flashback just sets up the characters/back story of the game so it's a little slow paced.

F1 2010: Great game but I did not have time to even complete a full season before GT5 came out, so I had to trade in F1 as I know I don't have time to play 2 games with long single player bits when I can only manage to do 2-3 races a week.

Sly Cooper HD collection & Prince of Persia HD collection: Not bought either, although i wanted to get both on release as I never played the originals. Might get them next year at some point.

Dead Rising 2: Bought this very close to F1 2010 so ended up neglecting this. only played it for about 2-3 hours and it hasn't grabbed me as much as the 1st one (probably due to me not sitting down playing it for long sessions like the original game). Kept it to play next year.

I'll probably go back to it in the future though I've got other stuff to play at the moment. I'm currently stuck playing golf with some dude, no idea why.
