Volvos+snow=drift win

That's great! Love it. Entertaining on so many more levels than watching Ken Block bounce of the rev limiter and walls. Probably because they're old Volvos. The Swedes are crazy but they're great.

agreed with alex.

also really highlights exactly how much of a fad the ricer's beloved drifting really is. been going on since the dawn of time

Does the average drifter/drift fan say any different? What makes you think they aren't fully aware that driving sideways has always happened?

because there would have been a massive "scene" for it before, rather than people jumping on a bandwagon because its the current cool thing

any more question?

It just makes me laugh all this hatred for drifters and drift fans. The irony is there seems to be a bandwagon of people quick to say 'OMG drifting suxxors' ;)

Just because it's popular doesn't mean people are just saying they like it 'just to be cool'. I've always liked to see cars being thrown sideways, I like to watch drifting. It's nothing to do with bandwagons, and certainly nothing to do with it being the 'cool' thing.

They're effectively rallying, not holding a power slide around consecutive corners on a dry solid surface. It's not really the same as what the current scene is offering, and fad or not, car culture evolves and changes like the cars themselves. Get over it. So long as people enjoy themselves and safely, who gives a toss? What else would they go do, paint balling, track days, climbing, football, rugby etc? Not much difference really. If a group of people find common ground and enjoy themselves, why the hell not. I doubt they care people did it before them.

Aye, RWD Volvos pwn. They'd pwn even more if they didn't drink so much

Having said that, I prefer the Saab suite..
