How much do you think we'll be paying for the 2500 / 2600 K's?

Pretty much the title.

I'd assume they'll take over the current 950 price point, so about 220 pounds or s, factor in another 100 for the motherboard and then whatever ram?

£20 more in the UK for K vs the others when released. That is based on the wholesale price per 1000 units.

What retailers sell them for is up to them.

Hmmmm, so as with current i5 and i7, there's a massive premium to pay for the meh that is hyperthreading. Looks like i5 will be the bang-for-buck sweet spot again.

Could be except for one small little detail.

EOL

Someone beat you to it! :p

I'm thinking the 2500K.

HT doesn't look worth it, I'll buy a cheap rig, clock the hell out of it and see what's going on later in the year.

Looking about £350 for a decent gigabyte mobo + 2600K, proberly add 50-70 for Ocuk to offer bundle @ a dreamy 5ghz overclock and for 400-430 quid bundel?

my god that UD7 is pretty, I feel a splurge coming on.
Am hoping for a 2500k + half decent board + 8gb ram for about £400.
have a little over £300 from xmas so gives me a couple o weeks to save the rest!!

Will run cooler then previous intel cpus so should be more then fine with a H50.

Think ill just get myself a decent rigg.... and ill just leave it at that, perhaps upgrade the gpu if I feel am sure a 6970 or 580gtx would last ages along with a decent 2600k sandybridge :)
