Best places for bargains this January?

Which shops will have the best January sales, on-line and high street ? Not Computing related for obvious reasons

Please share some hidden gems or shops that are known for the best sales, also maybe some adivce as it will be the first time I've shopped for January Bargains

It will be a horrible experience and you will buy stuff that you don't need or even like because it's cheap. You will then put this stuff in a wardrobe or garage and never use or wear it. Ever.

Realistically, as I believe I mentioned in another thread on these already...

Clothes stores... they have to shift their winter lines in order to restock the store with Spring/Summer wear. That's the way it's always been and it's usually the case that if there is something you want from a fashion retailer, chances are it will be reduced. Problem is if you wait you risk them selling out and you have to que and fight in sales.

The only other places that really are likely to have proper sales are places that sell seasonal goods, for example Homebase/B&Q etc anywhere selling off Xmas goods.

Electronics goods don't tend to work in seasons, so they don't really need to sell them as such. They may drop a few prices to make it look like you are getting a deal, but most never tend to be much different to what you can get online.

I'd imagine as soon as Xmas Day is over, we will this year see a host of places warning us that we need to buy now in the sales due to the VAT rise.
