Steam christmas sale 2010... *twitch*

Was eyeing up BF Collection but looks pretty 'meh'. especially since i've just bought BFBC2.

Another day without spending cash, yay!

The gits doubled the price of Devil May Cry 4 from £3.50 to £6.99 now!

Must have been selling a bit too well lol
I remember them selling out of a load of stuff last year and stuff would be foisted into place; they're probably trying to avoid that best as possible so they can make the most cash lol

I've already got Borderlands, but as I can give my old copy to my mate, and its cheaper than buying the DLC normally, I've picked up the GOTY. I could have got it cheaper on Amazon, but having it tied to Steam and thus not having to bother about what PC I'm on, where my disks are and whether Im patched does have its benefits.

Also grabbed the K.Arthur pack as again it was cheaper than buying the DLC for the main game seperately, and Overlord Complete pack, because for £2.50 they're definately the sort of game you can crack out now and then for a laugh, and O2 at least on the 360 gets very bogged down; and I'd imagine the PC version of both is superior.
Perhaps a waste of cash, but I tend to spend more than that on coffee every other day.

My backlog of games:

Aquaria
Braid
Burnout Paradise
Gish
GTA
GTA 2
GTA III
GTA SA
GTA VC
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
Left 4 Dead
Left 4 Dead 2
Lugaru HD
Machinarium
Osmos
Penumbra: Overture
Worms Reloaded

Sam & Max Seasons 1-3 (Minus the first episode of the first season)
Tales of Monkey Island Season

I've been doing well so far resisting a game this Christmas sale but now I want to add:

Ghost Recon Complete Pack
Torchlight
BF2 Complete Collection
(Possibly) Overlord

I fear it will be a slippery slope once I make an initial purchase :(

Has anyone done a spreadsheet with all the sale items on? I think someone posted a link in here but I can't find the right page now.

I feel your pain, my steam backlog is a little excessive; from where I've grabbed games I fancied, and never got around to them..Overlord at £0.52 is worth it on that list though hehe

Was looking at king arthur and had a quick browse around the net, found it on play for 1.99 which must be a pricing mistake seeing as other etailers have it at roughly 25 quid. Bought it twice so that I have the DLC on steam but also the box :p

Thing is, if you like the look of it, the £3 copy on Steam's sale includes all the DLC, one of which is basically an expansion in it's own right by the look of it.

Unless the Play version includes all of that, its cheaper to buy it on steam than get the DLC (or even half the DLC), and for the extra £2, its probably worth the punt on the off chance you like it, rather than realising you'd want the DLC later and having to pay almost a tenner for it.

Fill aren't the L4D's time sensitive being multiplayer and all?

That's proper annoyin with DMC i was thinking about it then bam they wack it up a notch with the price weasel.

Yeh but I bought both the play and steam copies, so I get the DLC and the box. I like boxes :D

A little bit although I think both are still very popular. I'm pretty certain the first one I actually pre-ordered to give you an idea how long it's been sat there  TBH I did give the first a go recently for about an hour and liked what I played. Just need to sit down and play through the entire story in one sitting really. Then I'm sure I'll be hooked after that :p

Still haven't received email confirmation of some of my purchases over the last few days,

King Arthur is a steal at that price also got Fallout: Vegas & Claptrap's Robot Revolution to complete the Borderlands set.

lol so do I...Having the physical media is the only thing I miss with Steam. Still I have an entire DVD rack filled with stuff, and loads of bits stored elsewhere so perhaps it's just as well!

Personally I'm hoping TF2 [Orange Box] turns up at some point for a fiver, so I can gift it to my brother. It's already down to £7, but I don't really want to spend that with some of the other games coming up and Valves usual plan of lobbing thier own stuff in every sale, given I'm not sure if he'll play it/like it or not.
I know that sounds cheap, but I dont really want to grab it now, when Im 75% sure it'll show up in the sale as a sale item sooner or later.
