last year I went to a corner shop in swindon that was open, just wondered if any of the chains were open

Do any petrol stations sell alcohol? Can't say I've ever noticed any selling it, but worth a try?

Depends of what sort of shops are around your area, but some independent 'corner' shops might be open. Not sure about petrol stations opened on xmas (one near me sells alcohol - its a co-op) but as mentioned above some pubs open for xmas lunch.
