I think 'EA Christmas Gift' email is a scam. The email address includes the following:

[email protected]

Clearly no right minded person would make such a long email that looked too random.

The reply email seems off but the original email is from [email protected] and I have been getting your usual advertising emails from them for a while now, none of which ever directed me at any dodgy places, just EA's site. Link seems duff but hey that could just be EA for you :p

Has anyone bought BC2 digital deluxe edition today? Just wondering if you managed to get it installed as my EADM is crashing every time I try. Thread going over at EA forums have a few people with the same issue over the last 24 hours.

Gutted...didn't really want to spend today faffing around chasing up support!

Downloaded and installed the new dm and then registered and bought BFBC2 deluxe and downloaded and installed ifne mate.

Cheers for that. Got the new DM so no idea what the problem is. Anyway I've managed to run the game form the cache using a mini image until I figure it out:D

I see Dragon Ultimate edition on there for a good price, but from what I've read you need to run the EA Store DRM in the background while the game is up, so that's a no go for me

I registered my retail version so I could download it onto my laptop and use no DVD, and I don't need EA Download Manager open to play it.

After the game is installed you can un-install the Download manager if you like.

I bought Dragon Age: Origin Digital Deluxe edition thinking it had the expanstion as well but then realised that it doesn't :(

The Digital Deluxe edition was also £2.50 more expensive then the ultimate edtion which is why i though the deluxe had the expansion!

Oh well, got Vietnam as well and used the 25% off voucher so got Vietnam for free so i'm not that fussed! :D

Whats the difference between BFBC2 on steam and this one? Are there steam dedicated servers?

Has anyone else noticed that the EADM store is totally out of whack with the website prices? Weird.

steam is just how the game is delivered. eadm in theory limits how many times you can redownload the game to reinstall and steam is unlimited

bfbc2 isnt single player anyway is it, eadm might be more suitable for anyone without net access:confused:
