Emptying washer fluid

The Pug washer bottle is completely frozen at the moment. Did a trip up North, ran out when I was nearly there, the two stations I called into did't have any washer fluid so I had to just use water. Turned to a block of ice by the time it took to get to the next filling station. Ho hum, it'll defrost eventually..

how do you know what mixture you have though?

half the bottle of screenwash + rest water may be like a 10% mix in some cars.

Fox buys 5ltr containers, so to have a 10% mix he would need a 25ltr tank which is somewhat unlikely. :)

I know my Saab takes 5ltrs, so just add 1.5 of screenwash and then top up. This gives me a minimum of 30% which is well below -10°c protection with the screenwash I use and hasn't caused me a problem yet.

WTF kind of screenwash do you use then that is good for -10 with only a 30% concentration?

Anybody who puts pure water into their car anywhere is an arse, be it radiator or washer fluid
I just used 3 liters of water with 1 liter of denat. alcohol past year when I couldn't be arsed to buy 5l of screenwash for 8€, this worked out cheaper as it's just 2€ for 1l of denat. alcohol and tap water is extremely cheap/practically free.

Have used water as coolant temporarily in the galant too, to get it home. Without adding anything else
