¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Right now I'm waiting for Nokia Ovi Suide to install while I try to find the USB cable for my N82. I plan to download all my contacts to my PC, then get them into itunes somehow...

Is there an easier way than this? Is it possible to transfer contacts over bluetooth somehow?

Dont think so mate - just have a good few hours to yourself, and perform the most horrible thing known to man when getting a new phone, transfering all contacts... :(

Ok, looks like I'm going to have to do it using the PC, nevermind...

At least I've managed to find my N82's USB cable after bluetooth wasn't working, now I just need to try and get all my contacts from my Nokia, it's a bit of a pain but at least I only have to do it once!

Sync the Nokia's phonebook into MS Outlook address book on a PC. Export from Outlook as a .CSV file. Import into iTunes/Google Contacts?

Easier said than done, I've managed to export my phonebook into MS outlook express, but it seems to only have done the names and the phone number fields are blank... :(

Here's a contact in Ovi with phone number:

And here's the same contact in Outlook express without phone number:

What am I doing wrong?

Also, this isn't very apple related now, more of a Nokia issue, so maybe it would be better to reply to my thread here:

About this problem...

Hmm, last time I did this was with Nokia PC Suite. Not sure if that still exists. Isn't Ovi a cloud storage solution? Can't you just export from their web interface directly? I've never used it, so please ignore if I'm talking rubbish.

As for the Outlook sync, there may be a preferences pain somewhere (on the Nokia side of things) where you can chose the fields that get merged. Other than that, I can only suggest resyncing a few times.

I'll give Nokia PC Suite, so far this Ovi software seems to be pretty useless, cheers.

Aha! So it not just me that's having this problem... "Update (8/19/2010): Apparently Windows Address Book on Windows XP, at least, does not export mobile numbers in its export function. To achieve this feat you need to install Windows Live Mail. Windows Live Mail required me to uninstall a previous version of the Windows Live Essentials suite I had already but after doing that, it installed fine. Windows Live Mail comes with what apparently became Windows 7's address book – Windows Live Contacts. Windows Live Contacts, in turn, reads Windows Address Book's files but is able to let you export the correct fields – most importantly, mobile phone number."

Looks like I'm gonna have to install yet more rubbish to get this working, but I guess I can always format once the deed is done. I'll give Live Mail a go, cheers. :)

I had the exact same task a few months ago, and while I'm sure it can be done, I wasted an hour or so attempting it. In the end I just manually put all my contacts into GMail then sync'd that with my iPhone. Now I have everything perfectly sync'd and I cleared out a load of contacts I no longer need.

I would highly recommend you do something similar as it doubles as a handy backup of your contacts.

Anything wrong with just saving them to the sim card, and then using the simcard in the iPhone?

You may have to cut down the sim card though to use in the iphone.
