I know this aint the right section but i think ill get more replys in this one.
Anyway im thinking of going blueray. Im not interested in copying bluerays all i really need is to play them.

No budget really i just want the best one for watching bluerays on. Im not too bothered about noise as ill be having headphones on and the sound up:D

Ok ive picked the drive and the software. Also the monitor i got is a Dell U2711 27", and my headphones is Senhesier PC156 USB.
I think my headphones are really good for my gaming needs, but i have no idea if there gonna do blueray justice.
Will i need to fork out for a soundcard and headphones to go with them or should i be ok?

Im about to order the following by 8:30 so someone stop me if im buying the wrong stuff or think theres better out there. So this is what ill be ordering:

Samsung SH-B123L/RSBP
PowerDVD Ultra 3D Mark II
ANYDVD HD

Looks fine to be honest, what you going to be using anydvd for?

Not quite sure i was talking to bledd and he said its a must for him. It apparently lets you watch any blueray, as some wont work:confused:

Basically all i want is to watch bluerays and maybe at a much later date buy an external harddrive and put my blueray films on there. Thats a point will the blueray player i pick let me do that.

Edit: So you think anydvd hd is pointless for me then?

Well I use powerdvd 9 which was supplied with the same blu ray drive as yours, only the earlier model with only 8x playback speed where as yours is 12. I needed to contact cyberlink for some updates and stuff but in the end they sent me some software links and all is fine now I've never had a bluray that hasnt worked. I'm not sure if you'll be able to rip the blurays with that drive, well almost certainly not legally anyway.

cheers for the reply, im not gonna buy anydvd hd so thats save some money.
What Blueray drive would u recommend would let me put the bluerays films onto a hard drive?

Ive confused my self a little, ive forgotten whether a blu ray reader can rip from a disk onto hd or if you need a writer to do that. I'm pretty sure its the first one though, meaning the drive you chose is fine.

Ah well if youre not ripping then dont get it but after a quick browse of anydvd's features then it seems worth it
