Its fast enough with transmission tweaking but the handling is awful, Feels like the car weighs 1400kg not 780kg. Funnily enough, raising the ride height of the car improves the handling of the Gillet. Default speed on the Vertigo is set to 199 so yeah, the AI is screwed on Like The Wind. Gonna have to do some major testing on the setup to get it good enough.
I fear it may never happen tho :(
Vertigo feels so stiff around the tracks.
 
there's a 'busa engined go-kart though, that's fun :)
It would be interesting if there were bikes, Obviously there are issues with physics, simulating rider fall off etc, bikes are quite complicated, particularly tyre heating, motogp bikes use three compounds across the width of the tyre, one right side, one centre, one left side, due to higher wear on one side depending on track direction, all the compounds warm differently. They'd also have to somehow simulate rider weight shifting under acceleration and stuff.. maybe they could automate it idk.

Been trying that one today myself, so damn annoying!

Best I've managed is 10min 17sec for second place, car in front finished 11 seconds ahead.

That was with skid control on, without it I struggled to get into top 6 :(

Has anyone here came first in this yet?

Zero point in me doing them then - may revisit after Ive done the 2nd set of bonus races. On that point how have people found them? Gonna attempt them later - bit annoyed I had to rebuy a Mini considering I had to rebuy a Challenger for the last set - will stop doing weight reductions and other unreversable upgrades :mad:...

Wow the RUF CTR Yellow Bird '87 fully tuned is a fun car to drive, just did 5 laps of Cape Ring full, German A Spec Extreme. Bit overpowered at 700bhp for a RR car i reckon tho.

Am i brave enough for the Nordschleife in it tho? Or do i get the Merc Touring car out of the garage?
My B Spec at Level 24 and i'm still on 20. Time to get back playing the game, not leaving the B Spec hog my PS3 all the time :)
 
Woohoo! Today my Father received a special pre-order code today for the Mclaren f1 Stealth Model! Of course he forwarded the code to me after using it and now we both got Mclarens :D
 
i noticed how grainy GT5 looked on a 720p 26" samsung tv...looked horrible. Looks a lot nicer on the 23" 1080p samsung P2350 i'm using. the pixel density helps loads

It is doable, although I found the circuit race much harder. Make sure you have all the upgrades installed as they are removed when race modified, found that out the hard way although it does mention it when you buy the racing upgrades. Make sure you have racing soft tyres. For the circuit one, max downforce, disable all driver aids, top speed to max. Don't brake on the corners just ease off the gas, draft them and you can easily overtake in the corners. Once infront block after the final corner on each lap.

Daytona on the other hand is easy, just down the top speed a little and there are places you can cut across the grass if needed. They are both well worth completing as the car you win is excellent will do for most of the non car specific races.

Anyone won the RX7 Seasonal yet? I've won the other 9, but I can't even get close on that one :(

For anyone struggling with the Focus Seasonal watch the end of

Then ignore the transmission settings and gear it to ~130mph. If you still struggle after that use Skid Recovery Force.
