Is anyone amazed how much people ask for a 5770?

I am.

People advertising 5770'for £80 - £95 in members market amazes me, especially seeing 5850's go for around £105. What are they thinking sell it and pay £10 more for a 5850 or pre christmas £40 more for a new 5850.

Back in March 5850's were £240 and 5770's were £110. Personally I make a s/h 5770 worth no more than about £60.

(I have 3x 5850's - 1 xfire 1 normal setup and think they are great. People should pay a little more for a 5850)

Considering a new GTX460 768MB can be picked up at around £100~£120, I really think even new 5770 1GB shouldn't be priced at more than £80~£90 max, and 2nd hand shouldn't be more than around £60.

I've got one on MM. I put it up for £95 expecting to get ~£80. I was going to put it towards the 5850 that was at £125. I was offered £65 but after postage I think I'll keep that card TBH.

It's a nice quiet/cool/low power draw card that still managed to play most games very well. I do see your point though.

Price it a bit high and then take what the market is offering. Or you might get lucky and somebody will buy it for list price. :D

If your short on space or looking for a low power/noise card, then a 5770 could be a good choice. Sellers might be aware of this too though, and then start raising prices...

I sold my 5770 for £92 a couple of months ago. Reasonable enough.

I just sold my Asus 5770 for £75 on flea bay. RMSD was a fiver so made £70. Which i think was fair. Wish I had a second rig or something to put it in though as it was a cracking card.

You are right though dude, the premium people are asking is a bit much.

Sold 2 Asus 5770's for £70 each which I think was a fair price.

They where both still boxed and less than 1 year old.

They should be worth just under half the price a second hand 5870 goes for.
But £65 seems the latest going rate.

They can ask anything they want.

If someone will pay it then good luck to them.

This ^^

it was annoying before in the MM when you would post items for sale and you got people who had no intention of buying your item
ruining your thread telling you how much you should sell it for

glad they changed to rules to prevent that

if you dont like the price then look for another seller
