Hello,

My brother gave me a wndr3700 but i believe you need a modem to use this router as it's not supported with bt..

Should I buy a router with built in modem or a modem to use with my wndr3700?

yup, you need a modem to get that to work on BT...you could connect it to your current modem/homehub and turn the wireless off if you wish

Thanks for your quick reply

My current router disconnects randomly thats why I needed a new router..

What should I do?
Is the wndr3700 good?
What modem should I buy and is it possible to bottleneck the wndr3700?

what router do you have now? wndr3700 seems ok, as for a modem I'm sure someone with better knowledge than me will step up (not needed a new modem for years!)

I have a DG834N router but for some reason it randomly disconnects when I do multiple things like open WoW and browse the net, The lights turns off and come back on after a few minutes.

If you know a fix then please let me know if not recommend me a modem for my new wndr3700 or a whole new router

Regards,
nick

I have the Netgear WNDR3700 router, and I can't fault it!

Definitely get a modem to use with this router :)

Probably the cheapest route would be to buy an adsl modem/router that someone has spare and run it in bridge mode. The Thomson products that O2/BE supply have good modems within, and you should be able to pick them up very cheaply off an auction site or in the members market.
