Then there is the banking of the cheque.

Lost money on the first letter they send.

should have sent them 8p then when they chased you sent them 1p, I did this to a credit card company, paid it off all but 1p then sent them a cheque the next month for 1p just cos they were ****s lol and their CS was retarded

They don't usually go after less than £10 balances. Either that or they'll adjust your tax code. For 9p I'd be very surprised if they charged interest (which would be less than 1p anyway).

I'd do it asap. They get busier and busier so if anything goes wrong it's pretty difficult to get hold of them.

No doubt my clients will decide to send in their tax details in the final week
