Recommend a Gadget for around £400

Looking for a gadget for my girlfriend. Can be anything upto £400. She just got a PS3 and has a telly. She doesn't need any more games consoles.

That's about it though. Not really looking for a laptop or a computer.

Was thinking of a tablet but anything really.

What would you buy with £400?

you want to waste £400 on something? Why not get a holiday, or something different? Is it an insurance claim?

We're just back from holiday. I'd hardly call buying an Ipad or something similar a waste. We have a little disposable income and want to buy a new toy since it's Christmas. What's wrong with that?

It's not an insurance claim, not sure how you operate in Edinburgh but that's not my style.

Hang on to it and I'm sure within a month something will catch your attention.

Other than that perhaps book a nice weekend break maybe in late February or March so you've something to look forward to through the grim start of the year at work?

Get her a Canon Digital IXUS 1000 compact camera and take her for a very fancy meal. Better still take her for a weekend break.

Or alternatively overpriced and restrictive. Can't say I've found a use that can't be done on cheaper tablets (both Windows and Android based).

I'm with the Dalek though! Either that or perhaps a PMP (if you go on long car trips and enjoy movies).

Really? When i used one the other day it was horrendously sluggish, to the extent where i'm not entirely sure that the hardware can keep up with the software.
