Was fairly standard, was in a mixed group and ended up pulling a couple of girls I'd been to school with and then a bunch of complete random strangers.
Literally everyone around us was doing the same thing.... though my friend did approach an American girl, said 'Happy new year' gave her a hug/kiss then tried to slip her the tongue and got a massive slap - top tip - don't try to snog random American girls they seemingly don't go for it as easily as the British and Australian girls.

see you there mate im going with a few friends, we're arriving at 12ish at waterloo then going westfield shopping for the sales, afterwards heading to a cheap place to eat then going to end the evening with some arcading and fireworks :) (shame none of my mates know any girls :( ) would be perfect chance to take a date there :o
