I only ever formally asked my wife to marry me and I was hammered when I did that, if I'd had to ask every girl I went out with to be my girlfriend formally I'd be an alcoholic.

Me too, well I'd known my current girlfriend for about 2 months before we went out properly... I got hammered and asked her, much easier that way!
