Just a few more questions. Has anyone come from an iPhone? Could you suggest any alternative keyboard? I find the stock one pretty dire, the speed and spellling rate is very hit and miss.

Also when you close on application such as facebook/whatsapp/skype why does it still continue running in the background using data/resources when its not needed? Having to use a task manager every time is a bit dire.

Do not use a task manager! Just stop Facebook from syncing. I have no idea what whatsapp is... and Skype surely just sign out.

Because whatsapp is a messaging service it is designed to run in the background.

What about movies and tv shows? What kinda codecs/setup can/should I use? I tried x264 (hd) with RockPlayer and it was choppy as hell - I think just nomal 480/576 XviD/DivX I need. I am loving the phone btw - just gunna get more shenanigans on there.

I had this problem last Monday. I had to factory reset the phone as nothing else worked! :mad:

If it happens again I wont be happy!

Is there a codec pack for the phone? most of my movies* won't work when streaming from tversity, ps3 media server or windows media center

I get that too. Annoying bug, no doubt will be fixed in another 6 months though....

yes divx is perfect for rockplayer and the phones screen res. i.e. a 350MB hd rip of chuck looks pukka

Had mine for about a month and a half. Couple of questions for those who have a bit more knowledge about the phone than me:
Anyone know of a good bicycle mount for it? Just got a new bike and looking to use my phone for navigation on it.
What's the default browser on this, and where can I get an ad blocker for it?
Are there any alternatives to the android market, as I don't want to be hit by currency conversion fees every time I buy something.

Think my MicroSD card has randomly died

. Tried to read it on my laptop via an adapter but nothing happens. Anything else I can try?

I gather it doesn't work in the phone at all, do you have another SD card to test in the adapter? Those SD card adapters can be pretty unreliable.

Yeah the adapter is fine. And no, the first I knew was I just looked at my phone randomly to check the time and it scrolled with the message "SD card unmounted" or whatever it says in the top bar. Wasn't even doing anything at the time. Tried rebooting/reinserting the card but nothing.

This text issue is annoying me. I just texted my girlfriend and was awaiting a reply.

I checked phone after 15 mins and she had replied 10 mins ago.

If the text window is open, then the phone doesnt notify of a text. its bloody frustrating. This has only happened since the update

Is this the stock messaging app? Use something like HandcentSMS or GoSMS?
