hi iv just overclocker my q6600 to 3.6 and tested with prime95 for over six hour and had no trouble. temp went to 55 max for no more that a second once or twice but averaged from 48 52 for the most of the test. my specs are here

cpu: q6600
mobo:asus p5q deluxe
mem:4g ddr2 800mhz (black dragon)
cpu cooler:zalman cnps 9900 nt
psu:becool 450w
gfx:palit 9500gt 1g
os:win7 64bit

here are some screen shots

I have the same board and cpu but got to 3.0 and didn't bother to try for more as didn't really need it back then.

What settings did you use in the bios to get this?

Cheers

Download real temp or coretemp or hw monitor for a start.
Q6600 @ 3.6ghz and only hitting 55c seems impossible on that cooler unless it's sitting outside in the snow.
70-85c seems far more likely with that voltage and cooler.

Looks like you got a corker of a chip there. Run intel burntest for about 40-50 runs and prime95 for about 24 hours on blend. 99% of the time that means rock stable.

It should be fine at 1.45v, doubt 3.6 will be stable much under that unless it really is a golden chip. I'd play with the voltages manually as i have no idea what auto will give. Your temps look fine though, stress it with intel burntest.

Something is definately not right with that RealTemp screenshot. Why is it only displaying 2 cores? It should be showing the temperature individually for each of the 4 cores.

EDIT - also, according to what I can see in your BIOS video you have all the voltages left on auto. That's really not a good idea, as the P5Q series boards are well known for running some of the voltages at silly high levels when left on auto, IIRC the CPU PLL was the worst, but I am sure someone else on here with a little more knowledge on these boards will pop up and clear it up for you.

Your temps however do look pretty good, but I would be concerned as to what the voltage levels are at load. Can you run something like Asus Probe to check the voltages when Priming?

EDIT 2 - I knew I had posted about the P5Q series before, although I was setting up a E8400 for a friend, but it should give you some pointers too... http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18040127

Thats just a bug I get the same thing just close and reopen real temp

hi all iv use asus probe to see what my voltages are under load and it is 1.45 it drops down to 1.43 at idle, to get these results i stressed again with prime95 for 12 hours max temp was 68c

thanks for taking the time to read and thanks for all the help yas have given me

68c is fine, tbh pc probe isnt the best software. The max reccomended voltages are

PLL, 1.6V
NB, 1.4V
FSB-TERM, 1.4V

On early bios revisions the deluxe was known to seriously overvolt theese settings when set on auto or the lowest manual setting, hence when commencing any oc on this board it was reccomended to start with theese voltages set two notches above auto.
