So I've just bought from MM 2x GTX460 (2GB each) as fairly chunky upgrade from my HD5770.

However I'm only running:

i3 530
H55M-UD2H
OCZ ModXStream 500W

I know my motherboard doesn't support SLI so thats something I need to change.

UPDATE QUESTION - from post #11

New question guys regarding SLI and P55 boards.

After a fair chunk of reviews/research on P55 boards it seems only the mid-high+ end P55 boards even support SLI and those which do only give x8 PCI-E lanes to the second card.

How much of a drop from full SLI is this config? Would it still be faster (for gaming) than a single GTX460?

Given I'm only looking at a new motherboard and PSU to gain SLI I'd really like to know whether it'd be worth it or not as otherwise I'll sell one GTX460 and put it towards SB.

If your on a restircted budget...

Option 1

but.... as Cookeh suggests wait for the Sandybridge release to pick up a knocked down bargain either new or dumped on the MM by the "must have the latest" crowd :)

The only reservation i have about that antec psu is that its only modular for the pci-e power cables and everything else (including a million and one molex and sata cables i dont need) will be loose.

Store them in a labeled box? :p

The 24pin and 4+4pin ATX are hard wired, along with three molex, three sata and a fdd, one of the pci-e cables is hardwired too.
