Hey Hardware guys, I need a bit of help please.
My dear old mum had destroyed the plug on her laptop charger (the one that goes into the laptop).
I thought this would be pretty simple (and easy) to replace, but having never really used laptops (I'm an iMac guy) i'm running into a few problems.
Basically I cant find an exact match for the charger so I'm having to go down the 'compatible' route which is throwing up all kinds of questions and prices.
The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L450-18D.
The charger specs are; input - 100-240v ~1.6A
output - 19v 3.42A
65W
I've seen a compatible charger for that exact laptop for £32 but some of the specs are different. 90W v 65W, 4.74A v 3.42A, and a 19V DC output (i assume its supposed to be DC on all laptops?)
On the flip side, by dear old mum has seen a charger on the auction sites for £7.99 that is allegedly for her laptop. Personally i don't think a £7.99 charger is going to do her laptop any favours?
