Just installed a 6950 on 10.12's. Ran Heaven and I got sparklies on the screen. Now I have them while sitting in windows too. Does this mean the card has duff ram on it? Is the card needing RMA'd? I am about to try 12.a hotfix and see if it's any different.

I assume you're running at stock speeds? If so you shouldn't be having issues out of the box.

Running at stock, Psu is a 6 day old Seasonic 750KM X-Series 750W which is fine, no problems with my 5870. Definitely the card. First thing I have bought from OC, I know it's not their faultthough. Are they ok for RMA, as its faulty do they pick it up or do I need top pay to send it back?

Yeah send it back, it's not worth spending ages to investigate the problem. Best just to RMA it and get a new one.
In terms of postage you will have to pay to send it back but you should be eligible to have it reimbursed once OC have tested it, confirmed the fault and dispatched a new one.

Sprayed the MB pci-e with compressed air, re-sat it, and bingo working
Feel such a dafty for the panic
