Steam christmas sale 2010... *twitch*

I was tempted by this but backed off after reading the forums. A memory leak and/or single core issue can bring the game to it's knees after a couple of hours. One or two argue that changing affinity to another core helps a little as OS mainly uses core 0.

Nothing concrete in terms of a patch either.

well if Cities XL 2011 is anything like last years Cities XL 2010 then it'll be naf. Honestly, i spent £35 on a game that is so boring, has performance issues, including the memory leak issue after a few hours. Its not very engaging at all.

why do you say this, ive got a ati card and have played all 3 games fine?

Perhaps I've not lowered the settings enough then (although I did have to use the Steam launch command line fix to even be able to adjust options in the first place) what settings are you using for the game to be playable? :)

i cant remember exactly as im reinstalling it right now.
but it wasnt super high, i thought you meant it wouldnt run at all or something!

Why oh why wont steam let you download whole playing a game? Is there a setting that allows you to not pause the downloads when running another game?

is anyone else getting slow downloads via steam? just checked my router and my downstream is at 3600kbps which is normal for my 3mb connection but steam is only downloading at 140kb/s

All i wanna do is try left for dead 2 lol

Caved in and bought Oblivion Deluxe for £9.99.

Filthy, greedy *******s.

It's not bad compared to retail, I saw it vanilla for 12 quid with Bioshock so to get all of the DLC tha people have made significant improvements to in mods for an extra 4 is good just not as good as during Quakecons sales which I think the summer deal was. I think a lot of Steams sales in the summer are convention related because they all follow one another.

Have you tried changing your download server (Steam -> settings -> Download + cloud)? Generally smaller mainland Europe countries are offering better speeds. Also the Manchester server is better than London from my experience.
