Missing Bristol woman confirmed murdered

That's as maybe but (and I may be wrong here), I doubt the 2 cops that Richdog was talking to had any real dealings with the case which makes their "chat" mere speculation and gossip.... Just like this thread :)

Yeh the lying is a bit damming tbh! Why lie? it just drops you right in the brown stuff.

fear? pressure? being thrust into intense public media all of a sudden? misquoted? tonnes of reasons. some of you guys would do well to watch a bit of charlie brooker and get a better understanding of how modern media tends to operate. this isn't evidence, nor has any evidence been presented yet. not saying there isn't any, but it is shameful the way a man is being damned and condemned before the people doing the condemning know anything other than to say 'he looks eccentric.'

Another quality Daily Mail headline

He's gay? Well it's obvious he's guilty then.

Seriously though, odds are that either he or someone else she knew killed her, but we do have this whole 'innocent until proven guilty' thing in this country (unless you're suspected of terrorism, but that's for another thread).

Something says to me it ain't the landlord despite his odd looks.

Being reported now that her boyfriend had car trouble the night she disappeared and the landlord, helped him get his car started with the help also of a neighbour

And also third vehicle has been taken away

Read it again. People aren't always what they appear.

Exactly, glad someone reads the entirity of a post ;)

of course, but i still don't think it's a good example. that's all. and the person you were quoting was just suggesting that it would be surprising not that it couldn't be him. either way, it's still shameful the way the media handle cases like this.

fair enough, but i still don't think it's a particularly good example. that's all. the person you were quoting was wrong to suggest that it wouldn't be him just based on what sort of person he is though, sure. either way, it's still shameful the way the media handle cases like this.

It's a much more extreme example I agree, but that's the point. No matter how people appear, whether they're public servants, policemen, mayors, teachers, or freaky looking old guys with mad professor hair & a mad look in their eyes, you can't tell what's in their minds by looking.

All certain branches of the media are after is an hysterical headline for today, just in case it's disproved tomorrow. Not necessarily shameful, since they're appealing to their readership who pay money for the rubbish. Not pleasant though for sure.

I just hope this is resolved quickly for the girl's family's sake.

The minute I head him speak on the TV and say that "he hadn't said that", I hate to say it, I was arm chair "GUILTY"

He does look like a muderer though :p
