Things in games that really **** you off!

Unskippable cutscenes!
Yeah that annoyed me too. Especially if you get a cutscene just before a boss character,it kills you and you have to watch the cutscene after every single death:mad: I want to watch a cutscene once and then be able to skip it!

I'm going back to castlevania again.Even though i'm enjoying it the game is annoying me. Another thing it's annoying me with is throwing loads of enemies at me that all take ages to kill. And then when you kill them it throws in some more enemies.Often resulting in me having to play the same bit over and over:mad:

Cheap boss battles are an annoyance. The ones where you spend 20 minutes beating the crap out of it,and then it pulls a super move from nowhere that kills you instantly.

1. Unskippable cutscenes or scripted events, especially when placed just before a long, major encounter. god damnit.

2. Lengthy battle animations that can't be switched off (I feel the FF summon pain :P).

2. Boss encounters that when you screw up and die, restart you back before the point where you actually initiated the encounter. At which point, you have to walk up the same steps/path and go through the same scripted scene again and again to initiate the battle EVERYTIME you die.

I just want the option where, if i've screwed up on a boss, i can pause the battle, and restart it from the beginning. Instead of losing, being plonked back before i initiated it, and having to physically inititate the battle again. Waste of time.

3. Games with absolutely pointless achievements, that are only there for the most desperate virtual points whores.

4. Grinding in any game. Especially when

a) you need to take several hours out to get to a respectable level to beat the next boss/move onto the next section.

b) When there aren't any suitable places to efficiently grind for large amounts of xp or whatever stat/item you need.

5. Games that repeat the same environment over and over again, and dress the different sections up with a slightly different layout, or colour scheme. (Wow, Mass Effect planet exploration).

1. Unskippable Cutscenes.

2. Games with very few checkpoints.

3. Respawning enemys.

4. GRINDING, Looking at you GT5.

5. Little kids(MP only)

games without skippable cutscenes etc
games with camera's that get in the way and lastly games that have dodgy textures or something that block the camera off when it goes round or zooms out.

Games that give you new weapons/tools/upgrades then disallow you to use them anywhere apart from where the level designers specify

Stealth levels in games that otherwise contain no stealth, out of place, frustrating and usually nothing but padding.

Scripted events where you should be able to intervene but cant. MoH and CoD both featured this and you had plenty of time to
shoot the enemy while they aimed their rpg or sent a smoke signal but no, they are impervious to bullets until theyre done.

Online games with killstreak type rewards and levelling. One player kicking some serious arse? well lits give him a ******* huge boost
and let him really start urinating on the competition!
At least I can understand the levelling dynamic, keeps players coming back for more and gives them reward and reason to continue.
When badly implemented though it can really hurt the transition into the game for new players (once its been out for a while).

Agree with all of these.

Making Games that were previously locally multilayer, to :mad::mad::mad:ON-LINE:mad::mad::mad: ONLY!

Ok onlines great but I would rather play with mates in the same room any day of the week.

E.G Burnout? WTF!

I hate it in racing games where the ai gangs up on you. Instead of everyone racing for themselves, it's you vs X amount of them .

Mario kart, computer gangs up on you, 2nd will try to take you out, instead of trying to get the player in 1st. Playing Motorstorm pacific rift at the moment and they do it there as well. Just today I have the computer cutting across the track at the very start, just to try and hit me, and later in the race, 2nd place car trying it's hardest to take me out, to the point they crashed themselves, rather than attempting to race and go for 1st.

Rubberband Ai, Motorstorm guilty of this again. If I race well enough to get a huge lead, then I've earned it, don't speed the computer up well past the normal limits just to catch me. If I've crashed at the start or had a crap race and the computer gets ahead, then fine, my fault, I don't deserve to catch up, don't slow down to let me.

2 things only -
1. Unskippable cut scenes - I don't mind them being unskippable the first time around but if I need to replay the game for some achievements then I don't want to have to watch them again.

2. Outrageous collection achievements, I don't mind collecting up to 50 but over that just gets boring... it's the only cheevo I hate in Assassins creed games, the most recent one has collect 10 feathers, not bad also find and solve 16 subject 16 puzzles, also not too bad and then COLLECT 101 FLAGS wtf?
