I guess mate, but £2 extra for it all, I'm thinking if I get both adventures I may as well go all in

No, all the DLC is £5.10 extra, excluding the Made Man Pack which you can only get in the Digital Deluxe edition that's £9.99.

To get absolutely everything will set you back £15.09, to get everything bar the Made Man Pack (and a soundtrack and digital map etc.) then it'll be £10.09 in total.
 
Just to clarify something.

Basic mafia 2 is £5
deluxe is £10
the DLCs add to £2.50 or so

from what i am reading the deluxe doesn't include the DLCs, its just starter options and downloadable tracks and maps and gubbins.

To get the full playable game, you'd be better off with basic mafia and the 3 DLCs, yes?

No you aren't. Its a 3rd person RPG. Similar mechanics to games like The Witcher or Gothic (i think). You wander around, do quests, kill stuff, decide what skills you want to focus on, pick up set items before realising that only 1 set isn't completely worthless, good game i thought.
