Thought MOH would be cheaper in the sale. Its £13 for the limited edition at a well-known online store.
Think I'll get Mafia instead.

As i've mentioned many times in the last few weeks, this is generally quite a common thing, Steam rarely undercuts retail prices.

If you're not bothered about Steam integration, most things can be had cheaper at retail permanently than Steam has them in the sales anyway.

HL2 for me. I have ep1 and ep2 but never really played them. Gonna play them properly I think complete with that cinematic mod. Happy times.

No you aren't. Its a 3rd person RPG. Similar mechanics to games like The Witcher or Gothic (i think). You wander around, do quests, kill stuff, decide what skills you want to focus on, pick up set items before realising that only 1 set isn't completely worthless, good game i thought.

Cheers. Reviews seemed mixed. Really like RPG's but didn't like Witcher.

Are any of the DLC for Mafia 2 worth it and the Digital Deluxe is that worth it?

I can't work out what's in the delux edition - it's £10, and says "Includes the Made Man Pack along with other items. Click here for details." When you click, it takes you to the same page.

I'm more than happy to part with @ £6 today for the game+DLC.

How is it £6? It's £5 for the game or £10 delux, and another £5 for the 5 bits of DLC.

Even at a good price, I'm not convinced about it - so many poor reviews on amazon.

It takes you to a very similar page, not quite the same page and hidden amongst it, is the following:

The two bits of DLC you want are Jimmy's Vendetta and Joe's Adventure, the others are just a couple of cars and suits.

Hmmm, BFBC2 and Vietnam are on EA for £15, not sure whether to wait and see if it comes on Steam tomorrow or just grab it now?

Also, whats MOH like? Tempted to get it. Heard the onlines pretty decent?

Whereabouts? I can only see them separately for £11.19 and £5.59.

As a SP game I thought MOH was very good. Very cinematic in places (one point in particular where you are falling back with enemies advancing from the mountains), good sense of tension. Certainly vastly superior to the latest COD game.

To get absolutely everything will set you back £15.09, to get everything bar the Made Man Pack (and a soundtrack and digital map etc.) then it'll be £10.09 in total.

So - is the game really any good (lots of reviews on amazon say not), and if so, is the Made Man Pack worth the £5?

I didn't think the demo was too bad and i'm probably going to buy it tomorrow.

The Made Man Pack is again, just a couple of suits so unless you really want the digital art book or something i'd say the Digital Deluxe edition is a waste of £5.

I'm personally probably just going to get the £4.99 game and two £1.57 DLC packs (the ones with more actual story/missions). I'm half contemplating the greaser pack just for the supposedly fast cars but we'll see what sort of mood i'm in tomorrow
