Steam christmas sale 2010... *twitch*

Picked up Mafia 2 and both story/mission DLC's. £8.13 :D

Was waiting for this game to be in the bargain bins.

Whereabouts? I can only see them separately for £11.19 and £5.59.

As a SP game I thought MOH was very good. Very cinematic in places (one point in particular where you are falling back with enemies advancing from the mountains), good sense of tension. Certainly vastly superior to the latest COD game.

The Digital Deluxe edition. Says it's 16.99 but when i went to check out i got an additional £1 something off and it came to £15.20 something. Not sure whether this is because it's my first purchase maybe.

I'm personally probably just going to get the £4.99 game and two £1.57 DLC packs (the ones with more actual story/missions). I'm half contemplating the greaser pack just for the supposedly fast cars but we'll see what sort of mood i'm in tomorrow :p
Thanks again, all sounds like sensible advice, I may do the same. Some of the complaints were that the game was too short - at this price with the DLC that's not too much of a complaint. Other complaints were of having to drive slowly (to avoid the police being on you) and spending all your money fixing your car - so not like whizing about in GTA, just have to have a beer whilst playing.

On the Steam page for Coh gold it says "Internet connection required for single-player and multiplayer play."

Is this true even for single player? I can't see anything on the individual game pages.

For those asking about Divinity 2 - I enjoyed it, yes.

Combat isn't great (bit of a button masher) but graphics are good, decent voice acting and its really well written with some very amusing/clever jokes. Good mix of NPC's too.

Mafia 2 with DLC for £8? Yes please!

If that's what it says.

I haven't played it in a while but I'm pretty sure it does require it to auth.

missed this, i tried this earlier for someone else on another forum.
i turned my router off and loaded the game fine, there was a relic downloader that popped up in the system tray, it didnt do anything but i was able to load up and get into the single player campaign fine. whether or not it was because my pc was on the net before i have no idea.

The following is taken from flibitijibibo's Big List of 3rd Party DRM on Steam:

Other Account-based DRM
  • Company of Heroes; Relic Online. CD key activation required, log-in required to play. Offline workaround found here.
  • Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts; Relic Online. CD key activation required, log-in required to play. Offline workaround found here.

Hey guys new to the forums, been a longtime lurker however never registered to post,I registered for Overclockers.com.au as I live in Australia.

However I like this community just as much especially when it comes to hardware discussions.

Anyways, I was wondering if there is anyone kind enough to gift me Settlers 7 from the UK store, I'll paypal you the money beforehand of course.

If not then that is okay, thank you anyways maybe it would be a good thing I spent too much already :)
