Evening all :)

Bought a TV in the sales, a Panasonic TX-L42U2B 42" LCD jobbie. Quite an old model now but has a very good picture and the price was right.

However, the tele is about 100 miles away and I want to buy a wall mount before the VAT goes up. The online manual says 200x200mm but that manual covers the 32 and 37" versions as well and from what I remember when I looked at one in the shop it wasn't even remotely that.

Anyone got one at all and can help? None of the shops round here have any left :(

VAT increase on £40 is 85 pence, and on £60 it's £1.27.... Is it really that desperate that you have to save a quid?

There's principle involved :) And it's about £2.40 difference (very nice wall mount :D)

It appears to be 200x200 .

Where's that info from? The manual says that but as I said above I think that is only for the smaller U2B models as from what I remember when I did see the 42" version it had rectangular pattern more like 600 x 400 ish.

Ta :)

Googled it mate and made sure it was 42" size and model. On RS website they list this info for the 42"

Type of wall mount required. VESA fittings are usually 100 x 100mm, 200 x 100mm or 200 x 200mm. "Plasma type" is common with the larger LCD TV's and require a sliding bar type fitting.

RS site says "plasma type" - but still doesn't have the actual dimensions which is what the mount supplier has asked for :(

Oops, haven't used trust in years, that email address died in 2007

I presume it was Tysonators wall mount? Easy walking distance for me but alas I need one that hinges and pivots. :)
