NFS: Hot Persuit!!!

When Microsoft and Sony marketing stop doing it, I'll stop doing it.

They also call every game they make innovating, fantastic and whatever else they can think of to woo you, I doubt you agree that all their games are everything they say they are.

Put some effort in OP, your post is a disgrace. '!!' is not a question mark!

Sorry, I really am ...Failed English at first attempt and been really bad since then...but however I have to admit that when posting in forums I am lazy and do not bother with checking the correctness...My wife keeps telling me off for that..will I change ..no...

I have said that in game play is good, but I think EA could have polished it a bit better, I am playing now..and do have an issue with the game keep loosing the wheel..so whilst it does work..I get an annoying message across the front of the car, telling me to configure the controller. Which I have done...many times.....have logged with EA..awaiting reply...

I am a massive fan of the NFS series ( ok maybe not shift, but apart from that have played them for years!!!)

Don't sweat the small stuff would suffice as a reply :)

Hoping this game has gone back to basics ie as the first NFS. Will wait & see.

Well Because of the message regarding the controller, just stopped playing ( i assume I am the only one with this error)..as trying to go round corners and not knowing where the front of the car was..was impossible!!

So hoping EA gives a solution..or maybe need to try a new wheel???

In mean time Fm 2011!!!

For the PC..what is the best driving game ( my best is NFS most wanted..but I not played many others..).....I am aware people hate the NFS range..but as said before I like it..

I've got it on the PS3. Played it for about an hour and then put it away, not touched it since.

It's just a simple flashy looking arcade racer with no depth. What i'd give for a return to the glory days of Underground 1/2 and Carbon... :(

This game is awesome if: You have a lot of friends playing it.

If not, all the cars handle exactly the same (even less so than Burnout Paradise) only difference is speed & it's noticeably repeatative after a while.

If there's a load of you playing the social features are awesome, seeing each others times & scores to beat!

There's plenty of difference in the car handling, try driving the Bentley Continental and tell me doesn't drive like a barge compared to the Zonda.

best driving game on pc IMO is Dirt 2 or Test Drive unlimited
Test Drive Unlimited 2 comes out in around 3 weeks or so?

NFS: Shift would help someone make the transition to "true" racing sims. There are mods at "nogrip" that have enhanced/altered the default car physics after the most recent official 1.2 patch.

Race 07 and its many expansion packs (STCC; GTR Evo; Race On) are pretty decent, considering the age of the game engine. Plenty of tracks released by Simbin, good range of cars (mainly tourers but some open wheel) and tracks avaioable to download.

Rfactor is king for choice of car types and tracks, there is so much custom material available, its almost a weakness for online play (you need the exact car/trackj version usually to join server).

Iracing has much fewer cars and tracks to choose than the others, but is portrayed to be far more accurate than other sims. The tracks, for example, are "laser scanned," which should in theory show every little bump on the tarmac surface.
However, the marketing side of this sim is very different, you never actually own the material you pay for. Effectively, it is a rental subscription service and as soon as you stop "renting," you lose access to everything you have paid for, even for offline purposes.

I like it actually, been playing it the last day and yes it's very arcady but I like that, it's quite fun and you don't have to concentrate too much and just enjoy the silky smooth visuals. At 1920x1200 60fps you don't notice or care if there is no FSAA as it looks so good anyway and the sounds are really good.

Cars steering is a bit wooly but you get the feeling they wanted you to drift round every corner which I am doing quite well.

played it a bit since my brother has it - and it's rubbish. had more fun when i played original need for speed 3: hot pursuit on ps2. guess i have moved on in terms of racing games since then

i get the feeling once youve done one race youve done them all. i like the visuals, runs so smooth on my 470gtx, i am starting to get bored playing though, no real incentive to carry on.

Response from EA: All wheels are supported..hope that resolves your issue.

NO it does not

Response from EA: they sent me a link to unistall the game....well that does fix the wheel issue...:)
