Anyone excited for windows phone 7?

I used the trial to get a real idea of how it works, then decided it was well worth the 8.99 a month, of less if you buy more months in a row.

I purchased a month yesterday, (only as I have a couple of one month vouchers due, one from MS, and another from my sister for xmas)

Will purchase a year once they are used up :)

Well I purchased mines for the year :D have to admit it is pretty awesome :)

Great value for money and really they should get out there and advertise it more.

Are there any new handsets on the horizon to windows platform? I know ces is coming up, but can't see anything.

So is Zune basically a Spotifty alternative?

I currently use Spotify but if Zune is supported by my phone may aswell use that, as spotify are taking their sweet time releasing an app!

My contract renewal is coming up and i'm steadily being swayed towards WP7. The only other real alternative for me is iP4, but i'm sick of the fact that everyone and their mothers have one.

Thanks for the recommendations, this could really sway me.

I've got the HTC HD7 with WP7 and I really enjoy the phone, The home screen / menu thing is basic / plain and simple but it's all I need, Don't want nothing complicated, Everything works very well. Quite suprised tbh, only few down sides are the internet sometimes goes funny and I have to restart the phone and a couple of times it's restarted it's self but other than that I think it's a brilliant phone

Quick question, for some reason I can't connect to the internet using a data connection (via wifi its fine). Im on an Omnia7 (unlocked) with O2, and regardless of whether my connection is HSDPA or 3G, I cannot connect. Was fine on my iPhone - any ideas?

from the menu: settings/system/mobile network

click on the box 'edit apn' and make sure the APN (it's the portal url, my omnia is on Vodafone so it's pp.vodafone.co.uk, dunno what O2's url is) is correct and also the username/pw's in the appropriate boxes are o.k.

You star! For info o2's APN is mobile.o2.co.uk, username: mobileweb password: password. :)

The next update is only going to be very minor offering 2 things if sources are true, hope it isn't true.

http://thenextweb.com/microsoft/201...ate-will-not-be-massive-it-will-be-miniscule/

The software update, which could come as early as January, will add two things that are very important for Microsoft… the update will pave the way for Windows Phone 7 devices that work on Sprint and Verizon’s networks…The second key feature is copy and paste.

Is that right you get drm free songto keep with zune? I looked through the site but couldn't see anthing about this. Now skysongs has closed i need another service.

MS only promised Copy/Paste in the first update, un-official sources were pimping the big update..

Non-event, MS will deliver on their "pre-launch" promises. :)

Shame was expecting more can't say I have ever needed or wanted copy and paste yet, saying that when the LG Star comes out it might be end of day for this and ebay calling if its as good as the specs showing.

Why oh why didn't I get an Iphone or Android :(

So you could have had a lie in this morning ?

I had a Desire before the Omnia7 and I wouldn't go back, especially just 'cos the first update is rumoured to only be a copy and paste / service provider update.
